It is with great sadness that I have today learned of the death of Jim Bailey. He was for many years a great stalwart of tennis and tennis coaching in this area. I have played with him and against him on many occasions over the years and I have always found him to be the perfect gentleman on and off the courts. He will be sorely missed. I have sent a letter of condolence to his widow on behalf of the East Northants Tennis Legue.

The East Northants Tennis League AGM was held yesterday and eight clubs were represented. One of the things agreed upon was that next year's AGM and Fixtures meeting's would both be held in March and only three weeks apart. Don't forget this year's Fixtures meeting is on Wednesday 8th. April, 7-30pm at Kettering Town Cricket & Sports Club. See you there.

The East Northants Tennis League social and trophy presenation will take place at 7-30pm on Friday 23rd. October 2009 at the Kettering Town Cricket & Sports Club, Northampton Road, Kettering.
